About the event
Our Families, Our Stories, Our Legacy—Shaping San Diego Together.
Our luncheon Guest Speaker is Richard Carrico.

About Richard Carrico's book:
El Presidio de San Diego: Excavating Southern California's Lost City by Richard L. Carrico is a book that combines history and archaeology to explore Spain's first California colony, focusing on the daily lives of soldiers, missionaries, and the Kumeyaay people through artifacts and research. Published in October 2025, it's the first comprehensive work on the San Diego Presidio, using excavations from the 1920s-1970s to reveal the multicultural reality of early California beyond the typical conquistador image.
If your interested in purchasing his book and having it autographed. Purchase on-line and bring it to the luncheon or a few books will be on hand for purchase.
